The POWER is back!! What I missed most about a day without was the ability to control my environment.
In my CR condo I use power mostly to control the temperature. I function best at 70F and can survive at 80F. Higher moisture saturated climates tend to make me grouchy. Yesterday, I was too hot to sleep and too hot to move. I did discover that the water remained on (magic?) and took a L O N G cold shower about 1 pm.
How long does it take to acclimate to a new environment? Can heat cause heart failure?
I am not complaining – just curious about this new experience – hyperthermia. My body reacts as if heat is a beast of prey.
Other power related comforts such as my Kindel, computer were easier to accommodate by charging them night before.
What would you do if you knew you would have no POWER for 8 hours?
I did discover the reason for the scheduled power outage – maintenance of the power lines.
Evidently the trees have spread their branches into the wires and some of the poles needed replacing.
This morning I am grateful for the flow of POWER and the human efforts to make it so.
