Low Carb High Fat (LCHF)
After struggling for over a year with rising blood glucose levels (BG) and a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes that didn’t make sense, I tried a new eating pattern – I followed my gut instincts.
Yes, I had diligently taken all the medications, pills and injections prescribed at considerable cost. One month I spent $700.00 on a medication that did not lower my BG but did raise it. All these medications produced an uncomfortable sensation in my gut.
Finally, I stopped all medications and changed my diet to Low Carbohydrate High Fat (LCHF) based on a Swedish doctor’s free recommendations and my gut. (http://www.dietdoctor.com – link to the LCHF website)
For the last month I have eaten a Low Carb High Saturated Fat diet and observed as slowly my BG measured consistently within normal range for first time in over a year without any medication.
Now, that MY natural insulin is working, I continue on my LCHF diet and watch my body return to a healthy form and function.
REMEMBER TO TRUST YOUR GUT.
Excellent! It is working for me also.

We’ve got to listen to our bodies… and trust our gut. Glad you’re on a new trajectory!

I’m always amazed at how easy it is to abandon ones own instincts to take directions from others even when you know they are wrong. This behavior is so prevelent in health care. As a midwife attending women in labor, I found reminding women to ‘listen to their own bodies’ the most significant instructions I could offer.
My new trajectory is a return to what I already knew – thanks for the reminder.
